comet_scout | Journaling but irl

I really like to scroll through YouTube, and sometimes this will lead me to go in a rabbit role of video essay topics. Right now, it's a guy who reviews MMORPGs, but in a very short recent moment, it was writing and journaling videos. So I stumbled by @Sketchbook Skool's 7-day art journaling challenge, and decided to go for it.

I just got done with it, so I thought I would share it here, photos and everything, so you will be able to see my awful handwriting and awkward phrasing full of spelling mistakes.

I started really lazy, more so than other times I've sketched on my journal. IDK, it has been a while since I've written on it, so, I hadn't locked in. For the first two days it was also awkward, I had to skip breakfast, like I do occasionally, so I instead wrote about lunch. I still had some chicken hearts and I made it with rice and some vegetables. Honestly, turned out very delicious. I heard chicken heart is very strange meat to eat outside Brazil, but it's a less rough and soft liver like texture, and more sweet. It's pretty much children Brazilian barbecue meat.

For the second day, I didn't have any plans to go anywhere, so I first drew me in pajamas, but then my mother invited me for dinner. Nothing special here, not a very accurate depiction of myself, tbh. It was a nice encounter, my oldest sister was there too, we talked and had meat with pancakes (not the sweet ones.)

I was more into it by thirty day. I have been making an effort to read more. I had gotten the Star Wars Aftermath trilogy a while back but like a lot of things University exams stopped me from finishing reading it. I've been in the mood for something more like it, so decided to take from where I had stopped. I finish it already, and I'm now reading through the rules of River Horse's The Dark Crystal adventure game, will make a character for it, while I wait for Wings of Fire to show up. Maybe I'll tackle Hyperion soon as well.

Then it was pet, I tried to draw Felicia, my cat, while looking at her, but she kept competing with my journal and bitting it, my pen, and me, so I took a picture and did it later. I actually hadn't realized how old she is getting, she is so playful, it really doesn't look like she is near 10+ at the very least. I love her very much.

Then place I've visited. I had gone to the zoo with my older middle sister, her boyfriend, my niece, little cousin, just last month, so I had something interesting to write about. I didn't take many pictures, but I loved the one I took of the Elasmoussauro skull they had there. The Zoo of São Paulo is huge, and although the tickets we got were for it as well as two other parks, the scientific park and the botanic park, we didn't have the energy to visit the other two by the end of the hike. A lot of very luck moments, we got to see every animal. Got a good look at the tigers, a couple that laid very close to the glass, even the Maned wolves, that tend to be nocturnal.

I tend to not like chimpanzees, no hate, they just scare me. But there was this nice little moment, where all of them are taking a nap, and this very younger one bothered who I assumed to be their mother. So the mother gave it a leaf for them to munch at, half hugged then, then proceeded to scratch their head so they could stay still. Also, there was a 'King vulture' that had one of their wings cut, probably related to their chest surgery little featherless 'hole'. Someone called them ugly, but I thought they looked beautiful.

At a quiet moment, I just wrote about the afternoons coffee breaks I take sometimes. They aren't completely quiet because I always watch something. This time, Ding Dong was streaming Diddy Dong Racing.

Then bedtime. I accidentally missed this one, It as a busy day, had a recuperation exam in the morning then took the opportunity to go buy some gifts. I got there too early, so had the opportunity to take a moment to get a wonderful Mocha and Pão de Queijo as I waited for the stores to open. In the afternoon, I actually finally found someone to play Barony with, and we played for a while. I've been feeling very social, and I have been looking no stop for a Vintage Story server, but it's not very popular in Brazil yet, so maybe I'll check out a US server.

My sleep routine isn't very complex, I brush my teeth then I lay down. Felicia lays at the side of the head for half of the night. I've been trying to get reading done before actually sleeping. And that's it, really. It was a neat little challenge that I think I'll tackle every once in a while.
