The sudden feeling of nostalgia for FNAF has made me think of my old art and I unearthed the few USBs I kept my art files. They go as far as 2016, although I'll be showing just a few drawings from 2018 because it's the ones I'm feeling envious of my younger self about. (If you recognize them somehow, please, no you don't. I kind of want to let it go.)

I have always been into Transformers, but my true intro to fandoom was the likes of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, Five Night at Freddy's and even Bendy at one point if you want to believe it. I'm somewhat fighting the feelings of cringy about these, as much as they are recognized as Cringy fandoms, I think it's really unfair to the stories and the artists that participated in the communities and loved them. And unfair to younger me as well. If it wasn't for these I won't have been drawing so fervently then, if anything, even enjoying what I've been enjoying, looking back, I don't think anything has held me in its grasp as much as the inspiration that silly things like Springtrap and Funtime Freddy gave me (I used to love drawing these two the most.)

Very found of the second one, personally.

I actually wanted to have found my FNAF askblog assets, I made most of them on my own. I remember being very proud of how it looked, and have always loved customizing layouts (If my own pages aren't example enough. I'm lazier tamer now)

I had a small phase where I got really into that one Candle Cove Creepypasta. Only the Creepypasta, didn't watch the show or read the book. Made my own interpretations of the "puppet show" characters. Even lore.

I don't know, I've been loving re-exploring the story of the games too, and although it's difficult to say they are stellar horror writing, I also think Scott did something fascinating with what he had, and I'm glad I got to experience it at the time because, honestly, I have no idea how I would introduce the appeal of the series to anyone new. The fun and interesting part wasn't just the story, but it was the community and learning the mess of lore together, the theorizing that was made then thrown out frequently. Someone in one of the few retrospectives I've been watching linked FNAF's mystery writing to how it was handled in LOST, although I think by the second game Scott had some idea of what he wanted, so much was made up in the spot, and I'm pretty sure we all knew it too, but different from in LOST, we loved it!

Cute colors.

It probably helped that it was never really spelled out to us. I mean, to this day people are still not sure if Michael is or not the last night guard from FNAF 2 or the FrightGuard from 3. Or if it's him or his brother that we play on 4, or if Midnight Motorist minigame from Pzzaria Simulator is William screaming at him or if it's him watching TV as his father screams at his brother. (It's totally William screaming at Michael... or is it? idk) Hell, people can't even decide if the first to die was the Crying Child, Charlie, or Elizabeth.

He looks goofy here, but I like my coloring then.

Anyway, yeah, I still like FNAF, I enjoyed the movie unironically, got a poster even. Have been thinking about the connecting threads of the games these days (while also studying for a test. lol, it truly is 2015 for me again.) as well as thinking a lot about Michael Afton and his messed up relationship with his shitty father. It's fun. Here's some modern fanart I Sketched these days. Springtrap looks awesome in DBD, hype.

CW: Manipulative Parent?? Just in case someone needs it.

Was actually thinking of redesigning most of the cast, tbh. Just for fun. Found out Phone Guy name is Ralph, and he has lore too, so...
